Above all else, Pete aims to maintain the small town-feel Crown Point embodies. Growing up steps away from the historic downtown square, Pete has witnessed firsthand how Our City has evolved over the years. “You may not be able to find the meat market and the grocery store downtown anymore, however, you can find a community that continues to evolve by believing in its people, value, and of course, charm.”
PRESERVING HISTORY
In Pete’s 35 years with the Crown Point Police Department, 17 as Chief of Police, he earned a reputation as a principled, sensible leader. As Chief, Pete created a fiscally responsible department with a strong emphasis on Community Policing. Under Pete’s watch, Our City remained one of the safest cities in the State of Indiana. As your mayor, Pete continues to improve the entire Crown Point Emergency Services Division.
A SAFER COMMUNITY
As Crown Point continues to succeed with a steady stream of economic development, we must ensure that growth comes in a deliberate and controlled manner. Along with more development comes a need to improve Our City infrastructure and departments including Public Safety and Public Works. “I can ensure our continued economic success will not outpace the city resources that we provide,” Pete stated upon first being selected as Your Mayor.
